In my big ol' stash of sewing things, I found a button cover tool. Rediscovering the kit, led me to make button earrings with scrap african fabric. I was so impressed by my ankara top button that I wanted to make more. Making earrings was just the diy to ensure I wasn't making in vain.
I don't remember when or why I bought this very useful covered button kit but it was truly a godsend allowing me to completely finish the top. If I had to actually go buy a button, there would be no telling how long it would have taken me to finish that project. It'd likely still be laying there collecting dust.
Because of it, I now have a completed sewing project and 2 new pairs of earrings!
Tools Needed:
You can find the button cover kit and the earring findings in craft supply stores or on Amazon. If you don't have a stash of fabric laying around, you can use fabric from old clothes too.
