I cannot express the amount of love I have for this polka dot thrift store find. I paid a whopping $8 for it which is outside of what I would normally pay for a dress. No regrets. It's one of the favorites.
The cut of this dress is amazing. It fits perfectly. It has pockets. It even has big shoulder pads that I will NOT be removing. The green and black polka color combo is quite unique too. I think the dress is perfection the way it is. Polka dots and all.
I'm always surprised when I fall in love with polka dots. I don't normally dig them like that. They are not my jam. The lime color grabbed my attention though. When I slipped the dress on at the thrift store mirror, cupid shot an arrow to my heart. The chorus of women around me trying on their finds gave me the nod of approval too.
It's one of the most flattering pieces I own. Apparently wiggle dresses are my jam. Now I must go on a thrifting quest to discover more.

I washed it. Hung it up and then I completely forgot about it the entire month. I'm overdue for a closet clean out. I've had some very good thrifting luck lately and all of the good stuff like this dress is getting buried.
I thought wearing the dress with black pumps would not do it justice and keep the dress locked in vintage 80s costume style. Switching it up with a fun pink mule makes the outfit really pop and adds a tad bit of watermelon whimsy.
Do you like it? Am I wrong in my complete infatuation with the green polka dot dress?
